New from Roger & Gallet: Rose Imaginaire

Rose Imaginaire is the latest fragrance from Roger & Gallet. I have only good things to say when it comes to Roger & Gallet and their newest scent is, again, a winner with me. Despite of its name, Rose Imaginaire does not contain a rose note - confusing, I know! - but it is still a beautiful sweet fragrance. It is quite versatile, too, with an impressive list of notes - something you may, perhaps, not expect from a 'fragrant water spray'!

"Rose Imaginaire - The latest bewitching fragrance from Roger & Gallet. This vibrant, feminine and seductive scent is a fusion of mara strawberry, jasmin and violet leaves that beautifully complements deeper sensual notes of patchouli and wood. Rose Imaginaire reveals the secret and unknown nature of the rose, glorifies its fresh, delicious notes and expresses its voluptuous & distinguished character without using extracts of rose."

As you can see from the blurb above, this scent contains fruity, floral and woody notes. It is a happy, warm and seductive fragrance that starts sweet and citrus-y and dries down to a warm musky base. Strawberry and mandarin dominate at first - together, they are mouthwatering and very sweet with a bit of zinginess. The heart is softer and creamier thanks to jasmine and violet leaves and the base, as mentioned, muskier, deeper, warmer. I like how Rose Imaginaire changes and am in love with its comforting dry down.
While Rose Imaginaire packs enough character, it is, at the same time, an easy to wear fragrance. Fruity notes aren't too sweet, the floral ones are delicate and soft and the wood, while adding warmth, isn't at all dark or mysterious. Rose Imaginaire is chic, feminine, light hearted, fun and youthful.

It's Valentine's Day next month and Rose Imaginaire would be a lovely present for any lady. Though, of course, why would you need an excuse to buy this?

Roger & Gallet Rose Imaginaire is available from Marks & Spencer and online. It retails at £32.
