Filorga Hydra Filler - moisturiser that does it all

Filorga was created in 1978 by French doctor Michel Tordjman and focuses on solutions for ageing skin - hyaluronic acid fillers, mesotherapy injections and glycolic peelings. All Filorga products are medical and are used by dermatologists, aesthetic doctors and plastic surgeons. Must be good stuff, eh?
I have been trialling Filorga's Hydra Filler moisturiser for the past month and can, hand on my heart, say it is one of the best skincare products I have ever used. Why? Just read on.

"Hydra Filler - a moisturiser containing a high concentration of extra-pure hyaluronic acid for deep skin rehydration and a micro-filling effect on dehydration lines for a plump, healthy look.

  • The skin is plumped up, dehydration wrinkles and lines are reduced
  • Lines are loosened
  • The complexion is radiant"
My skin became really dehydrated a couple of months ago but it was still oily at the same time. A weird combination, I know, but it gave me a real head ache. I found a few moisturisers that worked really well - and featured them in my 'Moisturising dehydrated skin' series - but when I came across Hydra Filler, I knew I had found The One.
Hydra Filler has a lovely velvety texture and feels very lightweight, the scent is fresh, clean and very subtly floral. For some odd reason I was convinced all the hyaluronic acid in this would be too much for my skin. Not so! The silky light gel cream absorbs into my skin instantly and makes it feel and look smooth and matte. Because of the lovely finish, I find, this is a wonderful make up base. Every foundation I have tried on top of Hydra Filler, has stayed put for most of the day. While the finish is matte, the product actually hydrates and brightens very effectively. I mean, sure, no moisturiser can give you instant results, but I do really feel like Hydra Filler lifts up my complexion. It's as if my skin gets a huge energy and radiance boost from it. I truly believe that Hydra Filler penetrates deep down into my skin - the texture (of my skin) is a lot better and it generally feels a lot more smooth, firm and balanced. Also, any dehydration issues I had a month ago have now disappeared.

This sort of thing doesn't happen to me often, but, I can honestly say, I have not strayed from Hydra Filler. It is working so well, I don't really want to use any other moisturiser!
I recommend this for all skin types as it is an excellent universal product. At £45 Hydra Filler isn't the cheapest on the market, but it has changed my skin visibly - I couldn't imagine my mornings without applying this anymore!

Filorga's Hydra Filler - and the rest of their range - is available from Marks & Spencer.
