Every time I pop into my local Sainsburys I cannot help but check out the Dirty Works shelves. This is a brand that makes effective, fun products at a really affordable price. Their packaging design is very retro cool and chic, their body products all smell delicious and a couple of skincare bits I have tried haven't disappointed.
I will show you a few of my favourite Dirty Works products in this post. I'm sure a lot of you will be near/at a Sainsbury's before Christmas so hey, it'd be the perfect opportunity to pick up a few stocking fillers from this fabulous brand.
The Coconut Caress Body Butter (£4.99) and Body Scrub (£3.99) are probably my favourite products from the brand. These smell so creamy, so sweet, so coconut-y. The body butter is quite thick yet sinks in very quickly and the scrub contains lots of walnut shells and feels quite hard working. It isn't the most abrasive exfoliator but its texture is just about right for me. My skin feels softened and much smoother after every time I use it - there isn't really any need for a body cream afterwards but I love to slather on the Coconut Caress Body Butter simply because it smells good enough to eat and the scent lingers on my skin for hours. Yum.
The Think Of England Bath Soak (£2.99) is a beautiful soothing product. I don't have a bath very often but when I do - usually after a long and stressful day - I reach for this as this is the ideal bath soak to unwind in. It contains Calendula and Chamomile and really does relax me. The All Of A Lather Body Wash (£2.99), on the other hand, is quite a zingy, uplifting product. The lemongrass in this shower gel makes it very reviving and ideal to use in the morning. The Buff Your Stuff Body Scrub (£3.99) is another invigorating product. This gives me such an energy boost every time I use it and is wonderful at softening the skin. Buff Your Stuff contains shea butter, sweet almond oil and vitamin E - all three are superb conditioning and hydrating ingredients. Plus, of course, it is a really effective exfoliator.
My two favourite skincare products from Dirty Works are their Pore-fect Face Scrub (£4.99) and the Belle Of the Ball Face Mask (£4.99). The scrub is ideal for anyone with normal/combination skin. It is loaded with fruit extracts and clarifies the skin instantly. I find it to be effective on days when my skin's oily - it gets rid of the excess sebum while, at the same time, brightening and smoothing my skin. The exfoliating particles aren't harsh so this could and should be good for sensitive skin too. The mask is just as great. It contains blueberry, willow bark, green clay and kaolin and is a wonderful detoxifier. This is ideal to use when your skin's playing up and/or feeling clogged up. The mask helps to draw out impurities and, within only 5-10 minutes, your skin will look so much clearer and fresher and feel a lot more balanced.
The products above are all available from Sainsbury's supermarkets. Of course, the Dirty Works range is quite a wide one so it's worth checking out their website for all the fabulous things they make/offer.
The prices above are all RRP's, though, I hear, all Dirty Works products are currently on offer at Sainsbury's!
