New love: Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Honey Mocha

I haven't done many make up related posts so it's about time I introduced you to one of the newest items in my collection. It is a Laura Mercier blusher - I'm totally obsessed with the quality of her blushers and rarely use anything else - and it is a perfect autumn/winter shade. The Second Skin Cheek Colour in Honey Mocha is my newest love and is currently beating all of the other Laura blushers I've got.

Laura Mercier describe Honey Mocha as "matte soft pink bronze" but I'd argue with that and find it is more of a muted coral bronze shade. It is a soft, warm shade - Honey Mocha isn't too bold or insanely pigmented, but it is an ideal blusher that I can easily skip the bronzer with. It looks very flattering and natural on my pale complexion and I'm sure it would show up on medium skin tones, too.

The texture is very smooth - similar to other Laura cheek colours I own - and the finish matte (which I prefer). I find this to last all day on my (oily) skin - there's never any fading, not even after the longest day, and that is another massive positive.
Overall, Honey Mocha is, my in opinion, the ideal shade to rock on your cheeks this autumn/winter. I can see it complementing both, warm and cool skin tones - the muted, dirty coral-y shade is very universal - and it creates the perfect healthy look without you needing to reach for a bronzer.

Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colours, inc Honey Mocha, are available from Laura Mercier counters nationwide. They retail at £20.50 (each).
