As soon as I saw the new Ready Luminiziers from bareMinerals I knew we would have a long love affair. I am not the biggest highlighter fan and, in fact, often forget to use one, but since I got this baby, I have been religiously wearing it every single day.
There are two Luminiziers in bareMinerals' Ready range - The Love Affair (a shimmering warm nude pink) and The Shining Moment (a shimmering yellow gold).
At first I was convinced The Love Affair would be more 'me' as I often shy away from golden hues and find a lot of them just don't look that great on my pale complexion. However... I have, surprisingly, fallen for The Shining Moment. It's got to be the first "golden" highlighter that works so well on me.
The Shining Moment is a beautiful light golden champagne shade. It is not at all orange and looks very natural. Finely milled, soft and long wearing, the formula is a true winner. Another bonus is that it is very hard - if not impossible - to overdo it with this highlighter. The golden sheen it gives to my cheekbones - even when applied with a heavier hand - could be described as "subtle" and "flattering". It isn't overloaded with shimmer, but has just enough of it to create that natural glowy effect.
Here is a swatch of The Shining Moment:
I usually apply a dusting of The Shining Moment onto my cheekbones, on top of my blusher, and find it really lifts up my complexion and makes me look radiant. I have, somehow, become totally addicted to this highlighter - something that rarely happens when it comes to illuminationg products. The colour, formula and wear are all superb.
bareMinerals Ready Luminizers are available to buy from bareMinerals counters nationwide and from here. They retail at £26 each.
