"Rose oil and wild Rose hip extract envelop the skin with a protective nurturing film. This rich, beautifully scented cream, with the extract of over 1,075 organic Rose petals in each tube, strengthens the skin and soothes redness and couperose conditions. The skin is encouraged to repair and restore itself as well as being calmed and smoothed".
This is Dr Hauschka's hero product - it's not only famous for being a celeb favourite, but it has also won numerous beauty awards. Rose Day Cream, in my opinion, is a great suit-most-skin-types moisturiser. It does feel quite heavy and rich at first, the formula is very thick and doesn't sink in instantly, but it is absolutely wonderful at hydrating and keeping the skin supple and with a healthy glow. I tend to use it overnight and always wake up to a much clearer, brighter, thoroughly nourished skin. I have tried it under my make up once or twice, but felt the Rose Day Cream was making my face a bit greasy - you probably wouldn't have the same problem if your skin is dry/normal. This is why - because of its great nourishing properties - Rose Day Cream is a wonderul option for anyone who's skin is dehydrated. You can trust this cream to inject plenty of moisture back into your skin (and if it is too rich or you to use during the day, then do what I do - slap it on before you head to bed). Your skin will thank you for it.
"Dr.Hauschka Rose Day Cream Light is a beautifully scented, nurturing cream which protects and moisturises the skin, leaving it soft, smooth and hydrated. A sister product to Rose Day Cream, this facial moisturiser has a lighter, less intensive formulation than its counterpart, but offers the same nurturing properties".
This is definitely a lot lighter in its formula and is excellent as a make up base. The Rose Day Cream Light feels soothing and hydrating and gives just enough moisture so your skin feels comfortable and smooth. It absorbs quite quickly and leaves an almost velvety finish which I love. I also find it protects my skin from all the cold winds as often my skin can get red and sensitive come cool weather, but this has never happened when using this day cream. Even though I adore the original Rose Day Cream, I find this one's a must have, too. I like how well they work together - my skin that's oily yet very dehydrated feels balanced and calm when I use both creams. Also, important to add: I have never had any new breakouts when wearing the Rose Day Cream Light under my make up. A great moisturiser for anyone looking for lightweight nourishment with some added repairing and calming benefits, this deserves to be as popular as the original Rose Day Cream.
