Hydrating, radiance boosting face masks, ft. Elemis & Melvita

It's fair to say I've gone 'moisturising crazy' recently, but with my skin becoming dehydrated and now also quite dry (thanks to the terrible cold I'm fighting against at the moment), I have been enjoying testing out various solutions for it.  Of course, it is essential to use a good moisturiser on a daily basis - I have reviewed a couple already - but it is also important to treat your skin every now and then. Hydrating, radiance boosting masks are great as they tend to soothe, nourish and brighten the skin.
The two masks that have really stood out for me are the Elemis Exotic Cream Moisturising Mask and the Melvita Youthful Skin Mask.

"Elemis Exotic Cream Moisturising mask is a light creamy mask containing a dynamic blend of Mimosa, amino-acid rich Honey, soothing Samphire, Orange and Bergamot. These work together to leave skin super-moisturized and enriched. For optimum penetration of its active ingredients, the mask may be left on overnight."

This is a super moisturising product and my skin seems to drink it up every time I apply it. I usually apply quite a thick layer, which then kind of sinks into skin/disappears within 5-10 minutes (meaning the skin is very dehydrated). I remove traces of it with a hot cloth and voila - my skin feels and looks a lot better. It is a very effective moisture injection that also refreshes and makes the skin appear clearer. The skin on and around my nose has recently become very dry - I have been suffering with an extremely stubborn cold - and I have applied this mask onto that area every two nights. It can sting at first (well, anything would as my skin has become red and sensitive because of the cold) but, after just 10 minutes, my skin's a lot softer and not as angry/dry. Overall, this citrus scented mask is excellent for anyone with dry skin and nourishes it very effectively within just 10 minutes.

"Naturalift Youthful Skin Mask rejuvenates and instantly lifts the skin.
A great addition to your skincare routine, this rich and creamy mask will leave skin incredibly radiant, toned and firm. By improving cell cohesion and oxygenation, Pink Coralline helps to firm skin tissue whilst Acacia and Rhizobium gums provide an immediate tensing effect. A complex of oils with moisturising and repairing properties (Borage, Sisymbrium, Bellis and Rosehip) acts in synergy with invigorating Rosewood and Geranium essential oils.
This indulgent mask is the perfect restorative treatment for when your complexion needs a boost, repairing and protecting for younger looking, firmer skin. "

Melvita say this is a firming mask, but I love it for its brightening and repairing properties. Youthful Skin Mask is quite rich in texture and feels, again, very moisturising. It is similar to the Elemis one in that it absorbs into (dehydrated) skin. I usually remove (the traces of) it after 15 minutes and, again, there are immediate results. This mask boosts radiance and sort of lifts the whole complexion. I also find it calms any existing blemishes/skin irritations and repairs very dry skin. I have been using this once a week and just love how it makes my skin so much clearer and brighter looking within 15 minutes. It is a great all round mask that, literally, does it all and is well worth investing into.

The Elemis Exotic Cream Mask is available to buy from here and retails at £32.50.
Melvita's Naturalift Youthful Skin Mask can be found here - the RRP is £22.
