Jergens do some great body lotions and I have actually reviewed two of them here. Now that the weather's gone cold (and my skin has gotten a lot drier), I have been reaching for two of their body moisturisers that are more nourishing and deeply conditioning than the two mentioned in my previous post. By the way, before I get onto my winning duo I would just like to say: I love how Jergens have re-vamped their packaging. The whole range looks great and I wouldn't mind owning every single one of their moisturisers!
The first body lotion from Jergens that, in my opinion, is perfect for hydrating the dry winter skin, is the Cocoa Butter Body Moisturiser.
This is a deeply conditioning and enriching body lotion that promises to make the skin more radiant. I love anything cocoa butter scented and this is no exception - the moisturiser smells heavenly, not too sweet or sickly, and the hint of cocoa butter that you get is gentle yet long lasting. As for its moisturising properties - this product does its job so well, I mainly use it overnight. Because it is a deeply nourishing lotion, I prefer to apply it after my evening shower. That way it has time to sink in properly and I do love how my skin always feels soft and smooth in the morning.
Cocoa Butter Body Moisturiser is great for anyone with dry, dehydrated winter skin and a must for those who like body products with a beautiful comforting scent.
The other Jergens moisturiser I have been "digging" is their Deep Conditioning Oatmeal Body Cream.
This, again, has that warm and comforting scent - it is quite similar to the cocoa butter but is, perhaps, just a bit less sweet. It is definitely a light, foody scent and I very much love it. This cream is my saviour when my skin gets very dry. It is an effective moisturiser that acts like a treatment. Again, because it's quite rich, I tend to use it overnight. I usually reach for this once or twice a week, in the evenings, and slather a lot of it on (concentrating on elbows, arms, knees - that is where the skin can get extra dry). It moisturises and repairs overnight and my skin is so hydrated and smooth the next day, I can easily skip the body lotion (I use during the day).
If your skin needs soothing and repairing and you find that a lot of body creams don't do their job that well, then this is a good one to try. It is definitely one of the most nourishing body products I have ever come across (plus it smells amazing!).
The Jergens Cocoa Butter Body Moisturiser and the Deep Conditioning Oatmeal Body Cream retail at £4.99 each. Both are available from Boots, Superdrug and from supermarkets nationwide.
