So yes, S&G make up stands have 'appeared' at Boots stores and selection is actually pretty impressive. I've played with a few of their products - concealer, lipsticks, eye pencils - and they all seem really good. However, there are two products that have really stood out for me: Glow All Out Luminizing Radiance Face Powder and Show Good Face Foundation & Primer. I'll be honest: I've only been using them for a couple of days and yes, this post may seem a bit rushed, but it's not like I'm talking about skincare, is it? With make up, you pretty much know straight away whether you like it or not, right? I know I do.
First up, Soap & Glory Glow All Out face powder:
"Use it to lift up your cheekbones or dust lightly all over for a 'moonlit' look. Featuring LIGHTSCRAMBLE™ lumisphere pigment pearls, an ultra-fine creamy powder shimmer finish and extended wear silicone technology."
This product was love at first sight. It is a gorgeous luminous highlighting powder. Firstly, the packaging - as you can see from the pics above, it is very typical Soap & Glory, pretty and vintage. The box itself is from cardboard and while I know some people are not fans of cardboard, I don't really mind at all. It is very light and super easy to open, plus there's a mirror inside - I can't fault it really.
The powder itself is, as I said, quite luminous - it's light pink, with a hint of shimmer, but the shimmer is quite subtle. When used on face, this creates an almost pearly finish. Here are the swatches:

I don't use this as face powder, more as a highlighter as I don't like having too much of a glow. It does a great job and really 'lifts up' my cheekbones and makes me look healthy. Also, even though the colour looks pale pink on these photos, it actually isn't. Or well, pale pink it may be, but my skin is paler than that so I can also use this as a blush!
Because of my oily skin I can't really use liquid blushers and highlighters - they either don't last or they simply make me look mega greasy. Not good. Glow All Out is long wearing (I haven't had to touch up/add more!) and simply looks very natural. It's the 'your face but a lot healthier' effect. Told ya, it's love.
The second product that has impressed and surprised me is the Show Good Face Foundation & Primer:
"Featuring a ‘retinol – mimicking’ botanical rejuvenating extract & surface priming crosspolymers for a silky, liquid texture. Long-wear LIGHTSCRABLE™ LUMINOSPHERE technology creates a supernaturally flawless finish. Plus superlight SPF 15."
The swatch above is of the lightest shade - The Fairest Of Them All - which is an ideal match for my NC15 skin.
It is quite a runny, thin foundation and you've got to really shake it well before using (think it's so that primer and foundation mix properly). It is super easy to apply - I use my fingers - and blend and is definitely a buildable foundation. My skin's in quite good condition at the moment *touches wood* so I don't need that much coverage, but you could get medium coverage out of it (I only apply a few dots on my face and then blend, which gives me quite light coverage).
The shocking thing about this product is: it is not mattifying, not even semi mattifying, but I'm falling head over heels with it. It lasts on my oily skin (!) and I don't need to powder/blot much at all. Doesn't oxydise. Doesn't settle into pores. Soap & Glory have come out with another product that creates the 'my face but healthier' effect. First Glow All Out and now this - Show Good Face. An awesome 2-in-1 product that creates a natural, silky finish.
These two products are, right now, my favourites from the S&G make up line. Though I haven't tested many of their items yet. Am definitely going to give their Kick Ass concealer (yes, really) a proper go and am very intrigued by their Thick & Fast mascara too. Actually, I wouldn't mind testing out most of their products. Once a Soap & Glory addict, always an addict!
The Soap & Glory make up collection can be purchased here and in all bigger Boots stores. Glow All Out and Show Good Face both retail at £11.
